 Aquila and Bundoora Mines, Geman Creek Colliery, Central Queensland

 

 On 4th August 2010, Bounty announced that it has been awarded a two year contract with Anglo American Metallurgical Coal Pty Ltd ("Anglo American"), the majority owner and operator of the German Creek colliery. There is an option to extend the contract by mutual agreement for a further 1 year period.

 

Bounty has begun providing mining services to reopen and operate the Aquila Mine, which is where Bounty had operated previously for four years. This work will be followed by both development and bord and pillar production at the mine using a fleet of Bounty's own equipment.

Bounty will re-introduce its Continuous Haulage unit back into the Aquila Mine for both development and production phases.

Bounty will also begin bord and pillar production at the Bundoora Mine from January 2011, utilising Anglo american mining equpiment to extract approximately 750,00 tonnes of coal over an 18 month period.

Bounty has previously provided Gate Road Development services at the Bundoora Mine.

 

Oaky Creek North Mine, Central Queensland

In June 2010, Bounty entered into a six month contract with Xstrata, majority owner and operator of Oaky Creek North mine, to provide labour hire services to assist with Gate Road Development.
