Bounty Mining Limited is an established contract mining company specialising in underground coal mining services. Bounty is currently recruiting for projects located in Central Queensland. The following vacant positions are described in detail below:

Project Manager

The role involves significant project management responsibilities incorporating external contractor management, personnel management, and external customer management, in order to maximise the production of coal whilst maintaining compliance with all safety and operating standards.

You will be responsible for all operational, contractual and technical aspects of the mine site location as required. You will manage projects to ensure contractual obligations are met and the project delivered within the agreed scope and budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for statutory compliance with the Mine Manager's rules and deputies and control room attendants on site. You will have an excellent demonstrated record in safety performance and management.

You will provide regular weekly and monthly reports to the CEO and the Bounty board as required. You will play an active role in identifying business development opportunities to grow the Bounty business.

Production Superintendent

You will lead the underground bord and pillar mine teams to achieve the planned production tonnes safely and efficiently. You will ensure statutory compliance is consistently achieved for the underground mining environment including reporting requirements. You will provide leadership toward, and participate as required, in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Health Management System.

 

You will develop a high performance culture within the workforce through strong leadership capabilities including communication, delegation, coaching and performance management.

 

ERZ Controller (Deputy)

 

You will have a proven leadership capability and the ability to identify opportunities for coaching. You will drive a pro-active safety culture and insist that the highest safety stadards are maintained.

 

You will ensure compliance to Coal Mine Safety and HEalth Act 1999 and Regulations 2001, and to Site Safety Management Systems, hazard management Plans and S.O.P.s.

 

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate previous success in a similar role and possess the relevant certificates eg. Third Class Certificate of Competency and S1, S2, S3 & G2A (mandatory).  Experience in shotfiring is desirable.

 

Electrical Engineering Manager

Ensuring all electrical engineering / maintenance tasks and activities for the mine site are cohesively planned and scheduled, you will actively contribute to the delivery of a safe, productive and economic outcome for the mine operations. You will provide strong leadership and planning of all site based maintenance activities and establish cost-effective provisioning of spares and inventory management. You are confident in compliance and regulatory requirements for plant and can demonstrate experience in inspection, servicing and maintenance strategies with real bottom line results. Reporting to the mine Project Manager, you will lead the site electrical maintenance group.

 

This role requires minimum qualifications of electrical trade background but preference would be given to qualified electrical engineers. You will need to have extensive experience with underground coal operations and mobile plant in order to be considered for this role.

 

Mechanical Engineering Manager

Ensuring all mechanical engineering / maintenance tasks and activities for the mine site are cohesively planned and scheduled, you will actively contribute to the delivery of a safe, productive and economic outcome for the mine operations. You will provide hands-on support for mechanical repairs and maintenance work and establish cost-effective provisioning of spares and inventory management. You will also coordinate planning of maintenance activities with the Electrical Engineering Manager. You are confident in compliance and regulatory requirements for plant and can demonstrate experience in inspection, servicing and maintenance strategies with real bottom line results. Reporting to the mine Project Manager, you will lead the site mechanical maintenance crew.

 

This role requires minimum qualifications of mechanical trade background. You will need to have extensive experience with underground coal operations and mobile plant in order to be considered for this role.

 

Underground Electrician

You will be responsible for all applicable electrical statutory/ compliance inspections, completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties, displaying high work standards, exhibiting a high regard for safety. The successful candidates will display effective communication within a team environment to achieve safe production.

With relevant electrical trade qualifications (mandatory), underground mining experience and the ability to practice and promote safe work behaviours you will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and great work ethic.

 

Underground Fitter

You will be responsible for all applicable mechanical statutory/ compliance inspections, completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties, displaying high work standards, exhibiting a high regard for safety. The successful candidates will display effective communication within a team environment to achieve safe production.

With relevant mechanical trade qualifications (mandatory), underground mining experience (desirable) and the ability to practice and promote safe work behaviours you will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and great work ethic.

Underground Mine Technician

It is preferable that applicants will have basic machinery authorisations for underground equipment including mobile roof bolter, LHD, scoop equipment and personnel carriers. Applicants with experience working in bord and pillar operations will be highly regarded.

Applicants must have the qualities that are needed to enhance Bounty?s demonstrated high level of safety performance. A committed, focused approach to the task at hand is essential.

 

Administration Assistants (2 roles)

We are looking for two administration assistants to assist in the facilitation of onsite administrative support. Previous mining experience is desirable but not essential. High level communication skills are required in addition to exceptional planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise workload accordingly. Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite is essential along with the ability to learn new computer systems including the Greentree Accounting system. The positions will report to, and support, the Project Manager and the Finance Department, and will be responsible for timesheets, purchase orders, work orders and reporting.
